Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 1, 2026
This policy explains what AdCare collects, what we do with it, who it goes to, and what you can ask us to do about it. Plain language, nothing buried in fine print.
The one-minute version
- Readings and reminders are stored on AdCare infrastructure located in the United States, operated to HIPAA standards. We never sell them and never use them for advertising.
- The in-home screen does not film and does not record ambient audio. Camera and microphone activate only when you use them.
- We do not sell personal information and do not share it for behavioral advertising.
- You decide who is in your household. Nobody outside it sees anything.
- As a California resident you can ask us to disclose, delete, correct, and limit how we use sensitive information.
The rest of this page is the detail behind those five points.
Who we are
"AdCare", "we", and "us" mean AdCare, a product of Nexon System Inc. — the provider of the elder care platform described on this site.
Mailing address: Nexon System Inc., 12062 Valley View St #245, Garden Grove, CA 92845, United States.
Privacy contact: info@adcare.ai or +1 714 210 1979.
What we collect
Using the categories California law (CCPA/CPRA) uses, AdCare collects:
- Identifiers — name, phone number, email, installation address, account name.
- Health and vital sign information — heart rate, movement, daily routine, readings from devices you connect, medication notes. Under California law this is sensitive personal information.
- Device readings — from the smart ring, watch, or blood pressure monitor you pair. Devices send readings, never images or audio.
- Voice — only when you call the assistant or place a call from the in-home screen; otherwise the microphone does not listen. What you say is sent to a cloud speech recognition service, under a data protection agreement, to be turned into text, and that text is what the answer is built from.
- Photos you choose to take — for example a prescription, so the screen can read it back to you. The camera never turns itself on.
- Family contact details — provided by you or someone in the household so alerts can reach them.
- Technical information — error logs, software version, device connectivity, used to keep the equipment working.
- Payment information — if you purchase service. Card numbers are held by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
- What you send us — leaving your number, booking a demo, or calling the line.
Where it comes from
- Directly from you — signing up, calling, filling in a form.
- From the equipment in the home — the AdCare screen, the smart ring, a watch, or a monitor you pair.
- From family members in your household, or from a care organization if you receive AdCare through one.
- From measurement devices you choose to connect.
What we use it for
- Following daily routine and alerting the family when something is off.
- Running the features you switch on: medication reminders, calls, entertainment, the voice assistant.
- Helping you when you call the line, and troubleshooting equipment.
- Keeping the system secure and working — detecting faults, preventing abuse.
- Meeting legal obligations and protecting the legal rights of the people involved.
We do not use your information for behavioral advertising, and we do not build profiles to sell to anyone.
Where the data actually goes
Plainly, so you know exactly what happens:
- Servers are located in the United States, on multi-region cloud infrastructure operated to HIPAA standards. Readings, medication reminders, and household records live there, encrypted in transit and at rest.
- Part of it runs on the device in the home — recognizing the wake phrase “Hey Joe”, and the prompts and instructions recorded on the device. That is why it keeps speaking and reminding with the internet down, logging what happened and sending it once the line is back. Asking the assistant a new question is not one of those parts: it needs the connection.
- The assistant answers questions using a cloud AI service we have a data protection agreement with, covering health information. When you ask it something, the question and the information needed to answer are sent there for processing. You can switch the assistant off in Settings and everything else keeps working.
We describe how the system actually runs, and we say where the limits are rather than rounding them up.
Who it goes to
- People in your household — the ones you add. Your call, and you can remove them at any time.
- Care organizations — if you receive AdCare through a clinic, senior center, or home health agency, they see the data needed to care for you.
- Our service providers — cloud hosting in the United States, a cloud AI service for the assistant’s answers, messaging and email delivery, the phone line, payment processing. Every provider that touches health information is covered by a data protection agreement with us. They may use the data only to do that work for us, never for their own purposes.
- When the law requires it — subpoena, lawful order, or where necessary to prevent a threat to life.
- In a business transfer — in a merger or sale, data may transfer with the business; this policy continues to govern it until you are notified of a change.
We do not sell or share for advertising
AdCare does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as California law defines those terms. We have not done so in the preceding 12 months.
Because there is nothing to opt out of, this site has no "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link. We still honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal if your browser sends one.
Your California rights
Under the CCPA/CPRA you have the right to:
- Know — what information we hold about you, where it came from, what we do with it, and who receives it.
- Delete — ask us to delete your information, except what we are required to keep.
- Correct — fix information that is wrong.
- Limit use of sensitive information — health data is sensitive. We use it only to provide the service you asked for, never to infer characteristics about you.
- Opt out of sale or sharing — we do neither, so there is nothing to opt out of.
- Non-discrimination — exercising these rights will not get you denied service, charged more, or given anything worse.
How to ask: email info@adcare.ai or call +1 714 210 1979. We verify your identity first — that step exists so nobody else can obtain your data. An authorized agent may submit on your behalf with written permission.
We respond within the time California law allows (generally 45 days, extendable by a further 45 with notice).
Shine the Light
California Civil Code §1798.83 lets California residents ask about personal information disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing. AdCare makes no such disclosures. To ask, write to info@adcare.ai.
Medical information, HIPAA and CMIA
In California, a business that offers software or hardware for consumers to manage their own medical information is subject to the Confidentiality of Medical Information Act (CMIA). AdCare handles medical information on that basis: it is not disclosed except with your permission or where the law requires it.
About HIPAA, plainly: HIPAA binds by entity status — hospitals, clinics, insurers, and their contractors — not by type of data. AdCare runs on HIPAA-compliant infrastructure and operates to that standard throughout. When you receive AdCare through a clinic, senior center, or home health agency, that organization is the covered entity and AdCare acts as its business associate under a Business Associate Agreement. When you buy AdCare directly as a family, HIPAA does not itself govern the arrangement — the safeguards stay the same, and the law that binds us is the one below.
For families buying directly, the law that governs us in California is the CMIA — and in one respect it is stricter than HIPAA: you can sue us directly if your medical information is disclosed improperly, which HIPAA does not allow.
The safeguards in place today:
- Data encrypted in transit and at rest.
- Role-based access — each person sees only their own household or organization.
- Encrypted backups on a schedule.
- Infrastructure providers covered by data protection agreements for health information.
Which law applies to you depends on how you obtained AdCare. If that is not clear to you, ask us and we will tell you plainly which one covers your household.
How long we keep it
We keep each category only as long as it is needed for the purposes above:
- Health readings and medication history — while you are using the service, so charts work and today can be compared with earlier readings.
- Account and contact details — while the account is active.
- Transaction and billing records — for the periods accounting and tax rules require.
- Technical logs — for the short window needed to troubleshoot.
- Assistant conversations — currently kept so you and your family can look back at them; there is no automatic expiry yet, but we delete them on request.
When you stop using the service you can ask us to delete. Data held on the in-home screen is erased when the device is reset.
How we protect it
We encrypt data in transit and at rest, restrict access by role, and take encrypted backups on a schedule. Servers sit on multi-region cloud infrastructure in the United States, operated to HIPAA standards.
No system is perfectly secure. If an incident affects your personal information, we notify you as California law requires.
Cookies and tracking on this website
The adcare.ai marketing site runs no third-party analytics, no advertising pixels, and loads no fonts or scripts from outside servers.
It stores exactly one thing on your device: your language choice (a cookie named lang plus one browser-storage entry). It is used to bring you back to the version in your language — Vietnamese, English, or Spanish — not to identify you.
Do Not Track: the site does not track you, so there is no behavior to change when a DNT signal arrives.
Children
AdCare is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16, and we delete it if we find it. Parents who spot something should write to info@adcare.ai.
Users outside California
This policy is written to the California framework because that is where we operate. If you are elsewhere you can still use the rights described here, and where your local law grants broader rights, those apply.
When this policy changes
We update the date at the top whenever we revise this. Changes that materially affect your rights are announced ahead of time by email or on the in-home screen.
